Good condition undated hard cover in green cloth boards with bright gilt titles and horse head on backstrip. (Circa 1948) Corners bumped but not severely rubbed, page block tight w/foxing on edge of page block and on a couple of endpapers, title page and dedication page but not within the remaining text. 360 pages plus 16 pp of adverts in rear. Former owner's tidy name on fep ( J. L. Dalryuple). Unclipped original dust jacket shows loss at tips but displays well in new mylar. Bright 1st US edition in green cloth boards with bright gilt titles and horse head on backstrip. Dust wrapper in new mylar is a professional reproduction from the Hurst & Blackett UK edition. Cloth on frt board rippled but no water damage inside. Small poke through cloth on backstrip near rear gutter. There is also a poke in the text that appears to have been made by the book binders needle because it migrates into the sewn signatures in the rear of the book, not affecting any text.
