Gift quality collectible in yellow colored paper covered boards with black titles on backstrip. Spine ends bumped, tips still fairly sharp. 192 pp text is crisp and unmarked, hinge papers fine, Unclipped, unpriced original dust wrapper has a bright color illustration of one cowboy kneeling next to his horse looking at bones in the dirt. Small chips at tips and spine ends, light color loss along flap folds. Displays well in new mylar. Two men travelled over the Arizona desert towards a common destination. Neither was aware of the existence of the other. Hatch Emerson was young, ambitious and honest but Pete Bicknell had left a trail through the West which led men to say that he was so crooked he would have to be buried in a round coffin. Fate lead both men to the same fabulous vein of gold which lay in the foothills of the Blue Pine Mountains and they moment was to come when they engaged in a merciless war to the death - a war which was to involve many other men and at least one woman.
