Scarce and collectible children's paperback with illustrations by Diana Schuppel Reid. Many years ago, King Hobart Hollenstein, ruler of the Duchy of Pancratia, sent his heir apparent, the Princess Navina, on a world tour to study the governments of other lands. The king believed that the understanding of foreign customs to be gained from such a journey was the best possible preparation for a future monarch. In command of the touring party was the princess's beloved "Uncle Koko," known to the rest of the court as Baron Kolshic, the king's trusted Minister of Cotillion and Foreign Relations. Fortunately for posterity, a record of the journey was kept by Count Nef, a minor member of the entourage. This account of Malvolia is exerpted from his diary of the princess's travels.
