Exlib with no call tags on original, unclipped dust wrapper in new mylar that shows a woman riding a horse side-saddle on the beach. Rep removed, tape marks on both book pastedowns and dj flaps. School name embossed into title page with little holes. Solid rear dj panel shows one light spot of color loss, nary any wear on spine ends or jacket tips. School stamp on three sides of 188 page block. After Stella rescues the young filly from the sea after she was swept off a ship's deck, Rowland lets her train the pacer as if she were her own, but her father wants to sell the filly for gambling money.
