Second printing of the first edition hardcover in red paper covered boards with black spine title. Tips and spine ends bumped but not rubbed. Exlib with sticker on frt pastedown from Wheatley Working Men's Club Lending Library. No card pocket or evidence of ever having had one, all pages present. 191 pp text is crisp and unmarked. Unclipped taupe background illustrated dust jacket shows small chips to tips and spine ends with some color loss along dj flap folds, darkening along spine but title remains legible, no call tags on book or dj backstrip. DJ now in new mylar and displays well. The Pahute stallion, a steel-blue horse with silver mane and tail and white socks, grew up in the Nevada badlands and was destined to become a legend to all who saw him, including Jim Blaine.
