A story of wild-life adventure in the frozen Northland. Few tales of men are more thrilling than this of Swift Lightning, the wolf in whose veins is a drop of dog blood from a Great Dane ancestor. His adventures as leader of an arctic wolf-pack - his savage courage that is the price of life in the famine-stricken North - his desperate combats and killings - and then his mating with the lost collie, and the call of his got-instinct towards the haunts of men round out a tale of breathless suspense and almost human appeal. Swift Lightning ranks high among the great animal heroes of fiction.
