First edition, first printing hardcover in tan cloth covered boards with sharp tips and bumped spine ends, dk brn titles and jockey in silks on galloping horse in circle medallion on frt bd. Small blue ink smudge in middle of frt pastedown and a blue ink stamped former owner's name under the frt flap. Fep removed. Original, unclipped color illust dust jacket is browned and brittle, has many chips all over, now in new mylar with bay horse head in front of fox hunting scene on frt panel. 228 p. text is slightly age-toned but not brittle.
