They considered her "a grand little horse-woman" and, when they went to live in the country, bought her an expensive pony and expected that "the local people would get a surprise when they saw her flying over the hedges and ditches of England." This book tells of Angela's mistakes and adventures, of a family of children, whose ponies she despised, and of the triumphs an disasters of the local gymkhana. Its aim is to amuse rather than instruct, but some lessons in pony management may be learned from Angela's misfortunes.
