This story of a real Alaska dog, and of how he met his test and made good will delight all who know and love these stout-hearted sled dogs of the Arctic. As a puppy Baldy did not look like much of a dog, but Allen recognized the strength and intelligence that would develop with proper training, food and care. Baldy justified these hopes, and as leader of a famous racing sled team, today he is known and loved throughout the length and breadth of Alaska.
