The tale of Timothy the frog who was the runt of the frog pond, he couldn't sing, was a bad shot when catching flies with his tongue, and missed the lilly pads when jumping around the pond. Timothy has a crush on Lilly, the king frog's daughter but thinks she'll never want to be with him because he is so small, a poor singer, etc. One night a fairy firefly shows up and offers Timothy three wishes, which he makes but the wishes do not come true immediately, instead, Timothy has to work hard, take singing lessons from a sparrow, work out and practice hitting a bullseye under the watchful eye of a large black draft show horse and becomes the frog he wants to be, because he believes in himself and does the hard work. He becomes the best singer in the land and buys a red convertible with spring wheels to take him to his singing performances. Ends up singing for the king, dating Lilly and marries her at the end of the book. The moral is: dreams come true if you believe in yourself and are willing to do the hard work to achieve them.
