Color glossy illustrated boards showing a donkey and her colt eating flowers from a cottage window box. Corners of boards rubbed, Red cloth backstrip in good shape w/light rubbing at head. Faint pencil name on upper edge of frt cover. 72 pg text is browned but not brittle. Front hinge cracked, spine has been properly reglued with ph neutral bookbinder's adhesive. No names, tears or soil within. #808 in the Father Tuck's Golden Gift Series. An anthology of stories, the first of which entitled: The Squirrel and the Earl's Daughter has several pen and inks by Attwell. Very scarce and an early work by her.
