Gilt and black blindstamped decorative cloth showing hunt scene on frt board, most of backstrip has chipped away (dry cloth). Book now wrapped in mylar and is well protected. Spine ends sharp, bevalled board tips bumped and lightly rubbed. Inner hinges fine. Page block tight, former owner's embossed stamp on fep. Contents clean. 361 pp. + 22 color plates incl. frontispiece. Much sought story of the chase well illustrated in color by Georgina Bowers. 3/4 red leather over marbled boards, marbled edges of page block, beautiful feather-pattern marbled endpapers. 6 panel, raised spine with gilt decorations. Front gutter cracked near 1/2 way down, front board hinge tender, spine ends and corners bumped and rubbed. Displays well on the shelf. Contents clean. 361 pp. + 22 color plates incl. frontispiece.
