NY Atheneum 1964 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good Very Good Illustrated
Not exlib. Lovely 1st edition crisp clean copy in aqua illustrated cloth, corners barely brushed, internally as new save for two pages of text laid in that have pulled away from the sewn binding (were probably missed-stitched when published). Unclipped dj in new mylar shows light surface soil and 1/2" chip at head of backstrip but displays very well. Grumpus the mouse and his friend Olympia the cockatoo are travelling with their human owners and are visiting Italy. Grumpus hates boats and water and must drum up the courage to ride a Gondola and face a mean cat in Venice. Books are cleaned and mylar changed on dj's whenever possible.
