First edition, not exlib. Book is tight and bright, 237 pp text very slightly wavy. Unclipped dj in new mylar displays well with light surface wear and discoloration on flap folds. No names or tears. Growing up in Maine with a strict European unpringing, Val Chappelle felt her parents standards were killing her fun until the Chapelles sold their huge house to the Hulls and moved nearby. The new owners with their six children, theyr pets and Dr. Hull's veterinary practice spilled into every corner of the House of the Blue Horse, and as the Hulls took over, Val got a close-up of the casual lifestyle she was missing. Through Hank and Sally, the Hull teen-age twins, Val began to lose her shrinking violet attitude and tried to find a compromise between her parents values and the more relaxed standards of the Hulls.
