2 Dallas-Smith, Peter Trumpets in Grumpetland 1st ED HB
London A & C Black Ltd 1984 0713626089 / 9780713626087 First Edition Hard Cover Fine No Jacket Cross, Peter
Exceedingly rare volume in hardcover. Gorgeous fine condition hardcover in glossy pictorial boards. Corners sharp, no rubbed tips. No former owners names or markings. 32 pgs filled with Peter's fabulous drawings. Continuing on from the Trouble for Trumpets story, the Trumpets are having trouble with the Grumpets again. Livingstone the Trumpet had a lovely musical intrument, (a Lute) which was broken and a strange Grumpet called Gloat had lent him another weird one, a poor, square thing which he had promised to replace with something better. "Don't you believe it!" said Hortensia, Queen of the Trumpets. "It's a trap!". So we follow the trumpets on to a fantastic voyage and battle with the Grumpets whereupon not only the original, now repaired lute is recovered, but Livingstone wins the hand of Kim, daughter of King Greygown. Fabulous fun for kids of all ages. Books are cleaned and mylar changed on dj's whenever possible. We gift wrap every book at no charge. Offered from a five star, full-time professional bookseller and proud members of the Virginia Antiquarian Booksellers Association. Satisfaction guarenteed.
