1 Burnand, Sir Francis The Fox's Frolic
London Wm, Collins Sons & Co. Ltd First Edition Pictorial Boards Very Good Very Good Neilson, Harry B.
Lovely copy with faint musty odor but you really have to stick your nose into it. Boards show light rubbing but remain fairly sharp. No visible water damage. Blue cloth backstrip, bright pictorial boards lightly rubbed, no inscriptions, page block tight and holding fine. Original DJ in mylar with large closed tear on rear panel displays well. Circa 1900. Exceedingly rare fox hunting parody where the foxes ride the hounds in pursuit of the 'brush' which is the farmers' broom! Glorious full color art throughout including several lovely plates of lady foxes riding aside.
