2 Annett, Cora When the Porcupine Moved In. NF HB/DJ
NY Franklin Watts 1971 053101987X / 9780531019870 Third Printing Hardcover Near Fine Very Good Book Parnall, Peter
Lovely book with tidy name on fep in price clipped, slightly age-toned dj in new mylar showing one 1/4" chip at head of spine. Not exlib. The rabbit and porcupine were good friends, so much so that the porcupine decided to share the rabbits home. (His own was damp and drafty.) It was then that the rabbit found out that a friendship can sometimes be trying. The porcupine was difficult, to say the least. But the rabbit was an easygoing sort and he managed to put up with his friend's ways until all the porcupine relatives came for a three-day visit. Then the rabbit made a decision: steps must be taken. He sat down to make a grand plan. How it worked, and how he managed finally to get his home to himself and still keep the friendship of the porcupine makes a genuinely funny story told with great charm and naturalness. Peter Parnall's expressive pen-and-ink drawings catch its mood perfectly.
