Includes a personally typed (with hand-written corrections) letter by author to former owner discussing an error printed in this first edition, subsequently corrected in 2nd and 3rd printings. Nice three large paragraph letter discusses various race horses such as Native Dancer, Bold Ruler, Successor etc. Collectible bit of racing ephemera. Beige/Grey cloth boards slightly marked, corners still sharp, tips not rubbed. Former owner's name on fep, else fine save for light surface soil on edge of page block. Professionally reproduced color dj in new mylar shows chips and loss but displays ok. 317 pgs.
