NY Charles Scribner's Sons First Edition Hard Cover Good Very Good + Illustrated
DJ is a professional reproduction that shows little loss at spine ends, displays well in new mylar. Red cloth binding with gilt title and huntsman landing over a hedge front board. Light soil, faint cup ring, spine cloth missing, tips rubbed w/boards showing. Inner hinges tender but not split, text tight and bright w/occasional finger soil on margins. One 3/4" closed tear on foot of contents page. All plates present. No date, circa 1935. 85 pgs with a myriad of b/w illustrations and 12 full page color plates with light foxing in margins but still suitable for framing. A compilation work written by several famous foxhunters, M.F.H.'s and authorites of the day which includes: The Atherstone (South) by Reginald Wright, M.F.H.; The Earl of Berkeley's by Hastings Neale; The Blackmore Vale by Colonel F.J.B.
