Fabulous b/w frontis by Howard Heath and a line drawing map in the text. Frontis illust has pencil lines and two traced pennies on verso, which produced some raided circular indentations on the frontis but it displays well (see pic). Endpapers, frontis and title page foxed, remainder of text crisp and clean. Part of the Boy Hunter's Series written by Floyd Akers, aka L. Frank Baum, who later wrote The Wizard of Oz. This is book number seven in the Boy Hunter's Series. Mr. Akers, in these new books, has at a single bound taken front rank as a writer for boys. The stores are full of adventure, yet clean, bright and up-to-date. The first volume tells of the exciting scenes in the early days of the Alaskan gold fields.
