A stunning piece of coaching or riding history, on a cream background a chestnut horse with wide blaze wearing an old fashioned halter with a browband hangs his head over a fence or stall door. The rear has two marks from where the metal part that kept it on the horse's bridle was removed. It now has a long pin with a rolling safety catch soldered on long ago. This is an image behind dome shaped glass and is in fine condition, no scratches, brass ring is polished brightly, a lovely piece of yesteryear refashioned long ago into wearable art. Circa 1900.
